Entering my second year at Little Flower, I am excited to continue the literary journey we began last year. We introduced a number of new concepts that we will be building on in the coming year as well as expanding our horizons when it comes to the types of things we read.
I will also be taking on the role of teaching English for 7th and 8th grade. Language, grammar and writing are all part of the ELA 'package'. An understanding of language helps us be better readers, and being a better reader helps us to understand language. There will be a lot of writing this year to help build good habits for the future (high school/college) and to stretch our creative minds.
I hold a BFA in Film Production from Southern Methodist University, and a BA in English Literature from California State University Bakersfield.
